So, a lot of people have been asking about the "Red Out/White Out" logo we've created on the right side of the page, so we'd like to take this time to explain.
In case you haven't heard, The Student Wolfpack Club is putting on a White Out/Red Out for the home opener against South Carolina on Thursday, September 3rd. The game is being televised on ESPN, so this is a great chance to show the nation what type of fans we have here in Raleigh. Here is how it's all going to work.
Students (White)
Students are asked to come out in your white NC State t-shirts. What? Don't have a white NC State T-shirt? Well you soon will. The Student Wolfpack Club is passing out "Beat Carolina" T-shirts (courtesy of Time Warner Cable)to all students in attendance. The shirts will be white, with red letters on them. Students will also be given a red "howl towel" to wave (which should look cool contrasting with the white shirts)
All Other Fans (Red)
All other fans are to follow the normal "Red Out" procedures. Wear your red Wolfpack shirts and hats to the game on Thursday. We were also told that fans will get white "howl towels" to contrast with their red shirts.

3 Responses to "Calling All Pack Fans: Red Out/ White Out"Why just a student white out? SC will be wearing white uniforms in the game...this is not very well organized, and I doubt it will go over very well. Carter-Finley would look better without the miss matching that is going to happen. This is a very weak attempt...why fix it if it ain't broken? Carter-Finley is always red with a little white, and it is ALWAYS rowdy, we don't need the miss matching fan sections. If anything do a black out with matching player uniforms.
In the past the "howl towel" has been a success, and the idea is great, but I don't know about the miss matching "white/red" out. Seems lame and half ass. At least do something clever, like one side of the stadium red and one side white for the Red/White cheer. I also liked the card stunt, lets just hope this doesn't flop.
Soooooo...who is this Miss Matching you speak of? Sounds like a lovely lady. BTW, I'd go with "mismatching"; it's a word.
I think the student section white out is a good idea. I think it will look cool on national tv. Those chickens are gonna get a rude awakening. CF will be absolutely rowdy...time for revenge!
Are you two Anony's, or just schizophrenic?
I agree, CF will be rowdy regardless of what people are wearing. There are going to be a LOT of SC fans there. They travel as well as anyone in the country and thee is a reason that this is one of the hardest tickets to get in recent memory. It's because COCKS have learned how to use the interwebs (craigslist & ebay)!
There will be SC fans that aren't participating, along with casual fans who don't know the difference. I agree, too, that the towels and the cards are things that can mask these other people and make CF look like they aren't even there. I even liked the inflatable "Bang Stick" noise makers, then I might be the only one.
We'll see how it goes. I'm sure the student section will be white. That's about all that's guaranteed, though.
I cannot wait! Go State!
