NC State vs. South Carolina By The Numbers


Tonight's match-up versus South Carolina is not only a chance for the Pack to start the season off with a win on national television, it's also a chance to settle the score with one of NC State's oldest foes. NC State and South Carolina have been battling it out since 1900, and whoever wins the game tonight will take the lead in the series. Currently the record between the two schools sits at 26-26-4. Home field advantage has typically been a strong point for the Pack against the Gamecocks, but season openers also happen to be a strong point for South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier. There is plenty of history between these two schools, and some of NC State's biggest games in the history of the school have been played against South Carolina. Tonight is sure to be a battle, with the winning team walking out of the stadium looking down on their opponent knowing that they have the edge in the prestigious series.

    Wow. I was not aware of the history between these 2 teams. Thanks for the research.

    Also I'm a bit curious about how the mobile gameday live will work. That is a pretty awesome idea if I understand it correctly.

    I think Mr Tom will get his first season opener win tonight as long as Wilson plays all game long. Is Mike Glennon going to play any tonight.

    USC should have come with us from Southern Conference to ACC. If I see anyone there today who looks from an older generation I'm going to run it by them. Them being SEC has been worthless.

    Score tonite should be 27-23 NCSU. Deciding TD will be pass to the sidelines from Wilson to Gentry.
