Washington's Freshman Season Ends Early

True freshman James Washington will miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury suffered this past Thursday in practice. Coach O'Brien seemed hopeful that Washington would be able to return in time for the beginning of spring practice.

Washington turned a lot of heads coming out of the preseason as the #3 back over Curtis Underwood and Brandon Barnes. Washington had a game any freshman would remember against Murray St., collecting 3 total touchdowns (2 rushing and 1 receiving). Washington saw action in 6 games (47 plays) this season and accumulated 76 yards on the ground and 44 in the air.

This is unfortunate news for an already injury plagued Wolfpack team. At this point last year people thought that NC State was pretty banged up, with 4 players listed as out for the season. The total number of players currently listed as out for the season has now grown to 10.

Wow what a blow! Oh well better to wrap it up before it gets worst. Get it right for next season and we all look forward to seeing you next year and expect big things. Go Pack

Has any team in the history of NCAA football ever had this many season ending injuries in a 3 year span? We have to be close to a record.
