He said twice, "...you don't get too many chances to get out there on the football field..."

Could this be foreshadowing of him leaving after this year? I know I am probably in the minority thinking he will stay, but it is hard to think about not having Russel Wilson in the backfield. If you think our defense took a hit without Nate Irving back there, just wait until the offense doesn't have Russell Wilson.

    Please stay Russell!

I'd say that the chances are that Russell's going to split if he gets drafted by MLB. If he is pretty sure that he isn't going to play in the NFL, due to size or desire or injury concerns, then it would be foolish to turn down a major league contract only to come back to the gridiron and risk permanent injury.

I want Russell to stay as bad as anyone. But, this staff has had to adapt to a very different system than they are used to in order to deal with Russell's and the O-line's abilities and inabilities. With a more pro-style QB in Glennon and a maturing O-line, I think we'll see Bible and TOB go back to a more Pro-style Offense. The scary thing about all of this is the back-up situation. Next year we'll have a more Wilson type of QB in Proctor, who still has no experience and will be coming off of an injury. After that we'll have Brocious who will be wet behind the ears, to say the least.

Trotting a R-So, in Glennon, out there doesn't scare me. The options at back-up do scare me. I think our best-case scenario would be if Wilson hung around one more year. but, that's just me.

    Go Pack.
