    I love O'Briens answer to crazy Carlton Tudor in the beginning;

    CT: Are you one of those coaches that thinks your team makes the biggest improvement from week one to week two?

    TOB: Well I hope we do..(as in come on bud is there any way you want me to work 80 hrs this week and see that {expletive} again).

    From listening to earlier portion of the presser - thanks for radio link at PP - it sounds like Jose should have thought more about giving a game ball to RJ Mattes. Coach explained that after getting out the freshman first game under the lights jitters that he played solid the rest of the way out.

    Difference with OL as a unit compared to say the LB's is that we could play a crap game like we did against USF last year and see a guy like MLB fill the stat sheet with say 14 tackles - 10 unassisted. We would be like "heck ya Ray". But OL don't get that luxury when statically the offensive has struggles and we give up way too many sacks. James Washington blasted through huge holes created by Larsen and Mattes.

    Coach mentioned that if Washington looks outside on that third run that we probably has biggest play all night. You could guess that USC sent the kitchen sink into that gap because they saw that they were being dominated there and it left them widely exposed to the outside. As Larsen, Mattes, McCuller get more reps together we will see some running lanes become available that will finally get us to the point where TOB and Bible have wanted to get to. That is a balanced offense where we could run on 1st-2nd or third down and keep any defense, fast-big-or blitz happy, guessing throughout the contest.

    I'm done with that; hearing the Coach sum it up puts this one behind me. The next time I bring up the Gamecock showdown will be in January after a Bowl game when we recap the season.

    Murray State Racers agreed to the game and we're paying them our hard earned moola to stage a game. Let's keep bringing that business like attitude to the film sessions and practice fields boys and have great week of football.
