NC State Commits: Week 4 Recap

-D.J. Green's (S) Westside Seminoles (3-0) were way to much for Logan Winkles' (FB) Upson-Lee Knights (1-2). Westside came into the game ranked #3 and they lived up to their reputation, beating Upson-Lee 31-7. Westside has only given up 7 points in their first three games.

-Thomas Teal's (DT) Marlboro County Bulldogs (3-0) continued their streak of dominance, beating Scott's Branch 54-6.

-Torian Box's (OT) North Clayton Eagles advanced to 3-0 over the weekend, defeating Alcovy 13-10.

-Tobais Palmer (RB) and Roy Mangram's (LB) Georgia Military (1-2) squad lost to Snow College 6-32.

-Tony Creecy's (WR) Southern Durham (3-1) crew continued their treacherous schedule this past weekend, defeating Douglas-Byrd 28-21. Tony Creecy had 2 receptions for 21 yards and 5 rushes for 20 yards.

-Robert Crisp (OT) and Pete Singer's (S) Athens Drive Jaguars (3-1) handled their business this past weekend, defeating Green Hope 33-7.

Man, DJ Greens team must be stacked because they are putting a hurtin on EVERYONE they play. W/ him being a captian, one cant help but think he has a large part to do with that dominate defense.

I notice Georgia Military is 1-2, and w/ 2 players on the team heading to state, that doesnt make me happy. Ive heard good things about Palmer, esp his speed, but when I see his team putting up 6 points last week against Snow College, that doesnt look good. Hopefully they can turn it around, TOB loves to have that military pipeline down there.

Despite the great summer and high rankings, Tony Creecy hasnt put up good numbers yet this season. Is he playing more RB than WR? I expected to see big things out of him considering his 4 star status and they great reviews on him but maybe its just a slow start or tough schedule match up. Hopefully he can start logging +100yd. games recieving and give him a good foundation for next year.

I plan on attending an Athens game this year to see in person Crisps massive size and strength and Singers ability at S. From everyone I have talked to around Athens, he is opening up some mammoth holes for their RBs, and coachs immediately saw an improvement in the rushing attack. Cant wait to have the big boy on campus (hopefully this spring)

This is by no means excusing losing, but GMC has lost to some stout competition. Navarro is #3 in the country and Snow College is #13. GMC did come in ranked in the Top-10 in the preseason.

I was wondering the same thing about TC. How can you not be getting your 4 star player the ball??? 7 touches???

I was thinking maybe the Athens Drive vs Apex game myself. WPP, any idea where and when that game will go down?

Not worried much about Creecy and Southern, they will be in good shape to go a long way this season. Brandon Barnes had anemic stats his Sr. season and he should be a good back for us for a long while.

JuCo and prep ball is crazy and I can never figure out whats happening there w's vs. l's. Look at the Hargrave score and then check the top 25 post grad players listed by scout or rivals. Should they ever lose a game?

Does South Durham have the same quarterback they did last year? He's impressive in Creecy's highlight vids.
