Tom O'Brien: NC State vs USC Postgame Press Conference

KEY QUOTES
"We have to go back to the drawing board and figure out some thing up front in the offense line...we'll have to reassess thos postions in the next week and get better."

"You look at those four downs. We got 3 out of 4 balls hit our hands and we didn't catch one. We had the opportunity to make the plays and we didn't make them."

"Unfortunately, I think (Wilson) had too much pressure today to figure out what he was doing. I think he was in distress most of the night and that's part of the thing we need to solve up front with the offensive line."

"I think the whole football team has to get better, not just receivers...we have a lot of growth and a lot of things we can do. That's the advantage of the first game. You have to get much better in the second. You go through the whole preseason playing yourself and sometimes you get into an opening game and it hits you in the mouth a little faster than you think it will."

I still cant believe we lost that one! Although I feel reassured when I hear Tom speak that he knows what he's doing. I still trust in this team and in TOB.

I agree anon. This isnt TOBs first rodeo. He will watch film, and make corrections that needs to be made.

Now im leaving for the beach to try and forget about the loss. Too bad im going into Gamecock territory in south carolina... Maybe the State flags and magnets should be taken off the car...

Russell didn't have time to think out there, yet he made the the throws that should have won us this game.

There is a lot of 'doom and gloom' and backseat coaching going on today, but the fact is that TOB had a gameplan that should have worked last night. And there was some execution las night, but not nearly enough.

I went home last night feeling better than I did after the USC game last year.

    Go Pack.
